Biography

The Swiss pianist Alvin Devonas received piano lessons from Benjamin Engeli (Basel University of Music) from 2009 to August 2013 and took part in various master classes (Konstantin Lifschitz, Adrian Oetiker and Viniciu Moroianu and others). In the summer of 2013, he finished an apprenticeship as an optician and the technical grammar school where he was awarded with distinction. From 2013 to 2019 he classical studied music with the piano in Zurich (ZhdK) with Eckart Heiligers. He finished his piano studies with distinction and has been studying classical music theory since September 2019. Alvin Devonas has won a first prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition in the finals and has received the “Werner und Berti Alter” in September 2019. He already gave various chamber music and solo concerts, as well as concerts with orchestra in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden and Romania. For example he played in Arosa at the Arosa Music Festival, the Amphitheater Avenches and others.
